Cruise Europe Conference Heads to Reykjavík in May 2026

The Cruise Europe Conference (CEC) returns next spring, and Iceland is preparing to welcome industry professionals from across the region on 26–29 May. With Reykjavík as the host city, the event promises a blend of strategic discussion, networking opportunities, and authentic Icelandic experiences.

Reykjavík Steps Into the Host Role

This year’s conference will be organised in close cooperation with Faxaflóahafnir / Faxaports, who are already encouraging early registrations through the official Cruise Europe website. Late May is one of the busiest periods for travel to Iceland, and accommodation in the capital fills quickly, so delegates are advised to secure their rooms as soon as possible. Dedicated conference rates have been negotiated for attendees.

Harpa: The centrepiece of the event

The main programme will take place at Harpa Concert Hall and Conference Centre, Reykjavík’s renowned waterfront venue. All partner hotels — Parliament Hotel, Hotel Reykjavík Saga, Exeter Hotel, and City Center Hotel — are within a short walking distance from Harpa, making logistics easy for participants arriving from across Europe.

Networking on the waterfront

The social programme begins at the Reykjavík Cruise Terminal in Skarfabakki, where delegates will gather for an informal welcome dinner on the opening evening. On Friday, the hosts have extended an invitation to stay for Reykjavík’s Official Opening Festival, giving guests a chance to experience the lively start of the Icelandic summer season.

The highlight of the event, the Gala Dinner, will be held at the historic Gamla Bíó. Originally opened in the early 1900s as one of Iceland’s first cinemas, the venue now serves as a cultural landmark in the heart of the city. Guests will enjoy a rooftop reception before dinner — a memorable setting overlooking central Reykjavík.

Explore Iceland beyond the conference

With daylight stretching late into the evening at this time of year, many attendees are expected to extend their stay. From geothermal bathing and whale watching to exploring nearby fjords, the timing of the conference offers an ideal opportunity to experience Iceland at its brightest.

The North Atlantic Agency looks forward to welcoming colleagues, partners, and friends from across the Cruise Europe network to Reykjavík next May.
